Blowing a very thick layer of dust off of this comm to ask: is anybody going to Motor City ComicCon this weekend? I'll be there on Saturday (the 14th) & would love to see some fellow Trekkies there!

Okay, so I missed out on the Star Trek Museum in Kent County, but Dearborn is having this: Star Trek Live! thing in March if anyone wants to meet up and go -- it's a set date already and beneath the cut is all the info. I'll be going to this event for sure!!!

So, there's awesome Star Trek costumes and other such excellence at this museum until mid-September. Anyone interested in getting a party together to meet up and discuss all things Star Trek, it might be a freakin' awesome as hell good time! Anybody up for this?

Seeing as the DVD comes out in 28 days (!!!) we should probably start planning a DVD viewing party!

My place isn't suitable for the task (I've got a tiny TV set that's old enough to need a converter box for my DVD player, which makes everything come out fuzzy). Anyone else want to volunteer?

Also, what date looks good? The DVD comes out on the 17th, a Tuesday. I don't know about you, but Tuesday nights are bad for me. As a super busy college student, I'd prefer a Friday or Saturday, but Wednesday could work, too. With enough advance notice, I could arrange for a Tuesday or Sunday off of work, if that's more convenient. What about you guys?

I'm super excited for this. Spock says, "live long and diaf" "thank you for your time" "the only emotion I wish to convey is gratitude."

I finally posted a recap and pictures from the meet up over at ontd, if anyone wants to check it out.

I got the pictures I took Saturday back from Target yesterday. Unfortunately, a lot of them didn't come out. I'll scan and post the ones that did come out either tonight or tomorrow. Probably tomorrow, since I have class tonight, but I'll have to see when I get home. At least we got the picture of us looking all GQMF on the bridge of the Enterprise. It was extremely overpriced, but totally worth it. *g*

I just wanted to post and say that I got home okay last night. The caffine from the coffee and the Dr. Pepper kept me wide awake for hours (even after I got home, damn it), so that wasn't a problem. And I managed to make the trip without accidentally driving to Canada this time. LOL

I had a lot of fun. Hopefully I'll be able to make it for the DVD release party in October. I'd love to get together again.

The meetup is two days away, lovelies! If the last entry was any indication, there are three of us going (les342, juniper200, and myself, theboysgonehome). Correct me if I'm wrong! Our lovely mod, keli, can't make it. Just another reason for us to have a second get together! Do I smell a DVD release party?

Anyway, with just three of us, a potluck seems a little impractical/doomed. SO! Here's what seems to be the best plan:

1. Lunch at 11am. Judging by the requests and everyone's budget, I'm thinking either Byblos Cafe or the Majestic Cafe. Let me know what you guys want!

2. The 1pm showing of the movie,

3. The exhibit from 3 to 6pm!

Sound good to everyone?

With just over a week until the 22nd, I'll get this ball rolling a little more specifically than it has been. Time for some decisions!

The GQMF's logic is sound!Collapse )

IN CONCLUSION:
I'm going to make this a survey. Everyone interested in attending, please copy-paste the following into a comment!

The order in which I'd like to do things is:
My first choice for place to eat is:
My second choice is:
I absolutely DO NOT want to eat here:

DO IT DO IT DO IT! And if you have any ideas/suggestions, please let me know!
